Upscale low-resolution CCTV and surveillance video to HD with AI detail recovery.
Enhance Security Footage NowSecurity camera footage is almost always lower quality than it needs to be. Most CCTV systems record at CIF (352×288) or D1 (704×480) resolution with aggressive compression to save storage space. The result: when you actually need to see something important in the footage — a face, a license plate, an action — the detail simply isn’t there.
AI-powered surveillance video enhancement can significantly improve the usability of this footage. Our FlashVSR model upscales resolution by 2–4×, reduces compression artifacts, and recovers detail that basic zoom-and-crop cannot reveal. Across 18,000+ processed videos, the platform achieves a 93.8% success rate. Important caveat: AI enhancement generates plausible detail based on patterns — it doesn’t recover information that was never captured. The results are valuable for investigative purposes, but enhanced footage should not be presented as an exact representation of what was recorded.
Most DVR/NVR systems let you choose export quality. Always export at the highest resolution and bitrate available — even if it means a larger file. Every bit of preserved detail helps the AI produce better results.
Recording your screen with a phone to capture CCTV footage destroys most of the useful information. Always export the video file directly from the DVR/NVR system.
If you only need to enhance a specific area of a wide-angle camera view (e.g. a doorway), crop to that region before uploading. This lets the AI focus its resolution increase on the area that matters.
If a face is 10 pixels wide in the original, AI can make it look better but cannot produce a passport-quality photo. Enhancement works with whatever information exists in the file — it cannot create what was never recorded.
